The WHEI NXT UK Television Championship is a professional wrestling world television championship created and promoted by War Hawks Entertainment Inc. for their NXT UK brand. The title was unveiled on August 25, 2018, one week before the debut of NXT UK. Marty Scurll is the first and innaugural champion. Having won the title in a tournament final on the debut episode of NXT UK. The current champion is Shane Thorne who is in his first reign.
The championship is intended to be the secondary title of the NXT UK brand. The brand will debut the Saturday after SummerSlam. The first champion has not been crowned yet but will be soon.
The title was announced the same day as the NXT UK brand along with the other championships intended to go with it. Unlike real life WWE who as of yet haven't announced a mid-card championship for the brand Ironman decided to beat them to the punch. Shortly thereafter it was announced that a 16 Man tournament would be held (off screen) would be held to determine the first champion.
The title will debut on the first episode of NXT UK instead of being featured at SummerSlam like the main championship. As with the other titles only wrestlers from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australlia, and New Zealand are eligable to compete for the title. This is done to avoid comparisons to the WWE European title.

Championship belt design Edit
The title differentiates itself from the other UK Championships by being based off of the old ECW World Television Championship rather than a WWE one. The center plate is based off of the ECW World Television Championship, however it maintains the shield with the crown jewels of the other titles, minus the lion and unicorn. A larger NXT logo also covers the shield rather than the WWE logo, and a large union jack (british flag) covers the plate. There are banners above and below the shield that read "United Kingdom" (above) and "Champion" (below), with a small font that reads "Television" between the two.
The side plates are unique as well, with the inner plates resembling gold versions of the WWECW championship's side plate with a red globe with the WWE logo inside it. While the outer plates are based on the old World Tag Team Championship's side plates. This championship also allows for a nameplate rather than replaceable center pieces like the main and women's championships of the UK brand.
